10 Ways to Increase Your Spiritual Strength

by Guy Finley -
Radio Host of  "Letting Go"
Tuesdays, 6pm PT

Here are ten proven ways to increase your spiritual strength. Study them with the wish to uncover the secrets hidden in their empowering instructions. Practice each one -- or all of them -- everyday, and watch how you begin to feel the presence within you of a new kind of power that never leaves you alone in your hour of need.

1. Spend as much time as possible by yourself for the purpose of discovering yourself.
2. Never explain yourself to anyone out of fear they may misjudge you.
3. Always accept a little more responsibility whenever life asks you to.
4. Say "No" to anyone or anything that you fear saying "No" to.
5. Refuse to revisit your own past for a way out of any present problem you face.
6. Learn to see your own defensiveness towards others as an offense against your own right to be free of fear.
7. Whenever possible realize that the person you are about to argue with is in as much pain as you are.
8. Leave to themselves those who would punish you with word or deed; do not return unkindness in kind.
9. Never accept any negative reaction you may have as the only possible answer to your present challenge.
10. Remember that everything you resist in life increases its weight by the magnitude of thought spent in not wanting it, so you accept all that you can, and quietly drop the rest.

Spiritual Respect
by Linda Mackenzie, C.H.T., Ph.D. (c)

The dictionary defines the noun "respect" as the following:

The act of respecting or noticing with attention; the act of holding in high esteem; deference or honor; a state of being held in honor or esteem; to show consideration for; regard; courteous expression of respect; regards; a particular point or detail; partiality; undue bias to the prejudice of justice; consideration; motive in reference to something; relation; regard; reference; as in respect for your problem.

These are all meanings of respect on a human level, but how does it apply spiritually?

What is Spiritual Respect?

Spiritual respect is not earned in the sense of what you know or what you achieve on your life path journey. It does not come from judgment, expectation, the need for control, the need to be right, negative emotions like jealousy or worry about what other people think, rationalization, attitudes or feelings on what you want or think "respect" should be. It is not used for personal gain, ego or power. Spiritual respect is a God-given right held by all living things that should be honored, esteemed and regarded by everyone at all times. It is not demanding. It does not encompass judgment from human mores and values. It is the awareness of seeing beyond human limitations and conditions to the positive life force in every living thing.

Where Does It Come From?

A deep abiding unshakable Faith - Trust - Development of an inner knowing - Balance of power and energy - Positive energy -
