Lynn Andrews
Host of: Kindred Spiritd
4th Tuesday every month, 9 a.m. PST

Each month we focus on one of our great hosts and here's some information about Lynn Andrews

Lynn Andrews is the New York Times and internationally best-selling author of the Medicine Woman Series, which chronicles her three decades of study and work with shaman healers on four continents. Her study of the way of the sacred feminine began with Agnes Whistling Elk and Ruby Plenty Chiefs, Native American healers in northern Canada. Her quest for spiritual discovery continued with a Shaman Curendera of the Mayan Yucatan; an Aboriginal woman of high degree in the Australian Outback or Nepalese healer in the foothills of the Himalayas. Today, she is recognized worldwide as a leader in the fields of spiritual healing and personal empowerment. A shaman healer and mystic, Ms. Andrews is widely acknowledged as a major link between the ancient world of shamanism and modern societies thirst for profound personal healing and a deeper understanding of the pathway to enlightenment.

Lynn is initiated as a member of the Sisterhood of the Shields, 44 women who are healers from cultures as diverse as Panama, Guatemala, Australia, Nepal, North America and the Yucatan. Remaining hidden, the Sisterhood has appointed Ms. Andrews as their public messenger. Passed from generation to generation, their teachings, born of the sacred feminine, have been practiced, guarded and handed down from shaman to apprentice, mother to daughter, for over 5,000 years. Along with her Medicine Woman Series, Lynn has written a total of 21 best selling books and workbooks about her work with these women and their unique and deeply profound teachings.

Together with her teachers, Lynn Andrews is the architect of the Personal Act of Power, finding balance around the sacred wheel of life. She presents these shamanic teachings in her four year program in her Mystery School, a two-year program called Writing Spirit, The School, and provides online courses for conscious dreaming and manifesting your personal acts of power. Lynn hosts annual live gatherings for shamanic healing and empowerment in Paradise Valley, Arizona, and Hawaii, and has led shamanic tours to Egypt, Peru, Alaska, Ireland and other sacred sites around the globe.

Lynn just created Sacred Vision Oracle Cards - This deck will take you on the next step toward finding balance in life. Each card includes an image of a painting by noted Native American artist Robert Taylor that embodies the prayer written on the opposite side that will awaken a vision or wisdom within you to help you achieve your own truth and harmony with life. Change is Now or Never
by Guy Finley -
Radio Host of "Guy Finley Live! "
3rd Tuesday every month, 9am PT

Victory over our own lower nature is now or never. We can't end conflict later. We can't stop being sad, cruel, angry, scared, or anxious later. Thinking, or hoping, that any destination we have in mind is going to be superior to where we're presently standing is exactly why we're still standing in that same place where we have to hope that some tomorrow will be better.

Later does not exist in reality.

Only to the lower self does the concept of "later" have any merit. This self-created, false concept of time allows it to create yet another "you" in another time when you'll be a wiser, stronger, and generally superior individual.

But your higher nature knows for you to experience the miracle of real inner transformation, to step up to a superior life level, you must no longer think in terms of how you'll be "next time." It understands, as we must, that a change in nature is immediate; it is now, or it won't be at all.

And so it's imperative to meet each moment of your life with this realization: it's only what you do right now that is the seed of change. And in the endless beauty and mystery of what is the now, this same seed of change is also the seed of a New Self. Here's why this is true: If you choose to change right now, then you won't have to worry about how to be different next time!

In fact, choose to change now, and that moment will never come for you to worry about how to be better next time. Your conscious choice for real change in the present moment automatically cancels the need for a better you in a better future. All will be better for you now… which is the only time it really matters!

Make it your moment-to-moment practice to stay awake, and to watch for all the opportunities that your own now presents. Keep your efforts personal, practical, and to the point. If your inner work doesn't transform the whole of your life into a more relaxed, amazing, and uplifting experience, then you're dreaming, not changing.

Your awareness of the power of the present can transform each challenging life moment into a new and true beginning for you. Learning how to use these moments leads to real inner change, which is the same as being in command of your own destiny.

Guidlines to Maximize Results From Radio Advertising

Radio is a powerful medium to get your message out. It is the best medium for branding (getting your product recognized and known so people will buy it). By following these guidelines you will get the most success out of radio advertising campaigns

Plan your strategy. Decide your short and long term goals, objectives and budget then plan your advertising campaigns accordingly. Like your company's slogan have an ongoing theme to maximize your brand's recognition. You can refresh your ads during different parts of the year but some part of every ad should be the same - consistent and recognizable - so people can identify with it.

Plan your budget to include adequate funds to make sure the money you plan to spend makes the best impact for your brand. When economic times are tough many people stop advertising but big brands don't. They know they have to keep their brand name out there to compete and make their sales. So as smaller and medium advertisers diminish their advertising you should seize the opportunity and advertise to stand out and be recognized with the big brands.

Radio relies on frequency and reach. 'Frequency' is how many times you run the ad and 'Reach' means how many times you reach the SAME listener, not just reaching large listener numbers. Buying from a large radio or small station and paying the highest or lowest ad rates does not guarantee success of your ad. A small budget spread over several stations may not make an impact. Find the station that best aligns with the listener you want to reach and who will identify your brand with like-minded radio stations and radio programs.

Radio Advertising is all about the message you are trying to send. Your ad should be unique, motivating, inspiring and memorable. However radio ad writing is an art unto itself. It requires professional experience and knowledge to get your message across in the right way. In today's world of 'so much to do, so little time' and people's short attention span a 60-sec commercial is like an informercial so to be effective keep commercials to 30 seconds. Radio ads are an emotional buy. Listeners need to feel the ad and remember to - KISS your ad. Keep It Simple Sherlock don't put too many points in an ad that people get overwhelmed. To make an ad successful professional radio copy writers know how many points to put in an ad. So let an experienced radio professional create your ad if you want to maximize results.

Getting immediate, instant results from your radio ad is an unrealistic expectation. Remember the 'Tortoise and the Hare' fable - the moral is - slow and steady wins the race. This moral applies to radio advertising. In radio it usually takes a listener 13 weeks to react. That's why professional radio stations have minimum 13-week contracts. However, like the moral in the fable, constant steady advertising throughout the entire year is a better guarantee for success. Radio is a 'top of mind' experience. For example, you hear a radio ad about new tires, but at the time you don't need tires so your mind tunes out the ad. Then your tire blows out. You go to a tire store. Your mind then recalls the ad and you will probably at least ask about the price, if not buy the tires from the ad. If your ad is not consistently running your message does not get reinforced to produce that 'top of mind' experience to maximize your brand results.

HealthyLife.Net Radio creates win-win-win advertising - for you, your clients and the network. We have professional radio copywriters and voice over people that will write and produce your ad for free with any of our ad campaigns. More on Advertising with Radio? Click Here

The Art of Giving and Receiving
by Linda Mackenzie, C.H.T., Ph.D. (c)

To give and receive in balance, or fair exchange, with oneself and others is a Universal Law that brings positive energy into your life which ultimately extends out to the world and perhaps beyond. Giving and receiving happens to us all, every day of our lives, whether we are conscious of it or not.

There are many hidden reasons why we give and receive. So it is important to consciously understand the how, what, where, when and why of our own personal reasons. Understanding these patterns points the way to stopping negative experiences, emotions and situations.

The way in which one gives and receives can be convoluted with many negative aspects that they may not be aware of. These negative aspects lead to disappointment, unfulfilled feelings, guilt, sadness and other negative emotions, which consequently produce negative energy for the person whom is giving AND the person who is receiving. For example, have you ever received a gift from someone and thought to yourself, "What were they thinking when they got this?" You were disappointed. Despite your "thank you" the giver, whose heart was in the right place, feels your unspoken energy and may even consciously realize that the gift they thought would bring you joy - didn't. The giver feels sad. A truly intended positive experience has turned into a negative and since we are all energetically connected, this negative energy extends collectively to affect the people around you, the world and the Universe.

You can see why it is important for everyone to understand their reasons for giving and receiving. It can transform potential negative situations into positive ones. If someone chooses to be unaware, or continue to give or receive for the "wrong" reasons they will remain in negative emotions and produce negative energy that will follow them throughout their life until realization of what they are doing is perceived by them.

In reality, there are no "wrong" reasons or mistakes. There are just growth processes that help one realize spiritual fulfillment. Realizing your spiritual fulfillment is one of the many reasons that we are all here on earth. So the choice becomes merely how long do you want to stay in negativity and maintain the negative aspects in your life? Do you want to take a short road or a long road to being positive, happy and joyful?

One of the ways to release negative emotions and the negative aspects of life is through self-realization of why one is doing what they are doing. Once realized, truth will prevail and become your teacher. Truth will not release you until you have learned the lesson and spiritual growth is accomplished. You will repeat the same lesson, although not exactly in the same way, until the lesson is learned. Once the lesson is learned, you will never have to go through that lesson again because the truth becomes a part of you and is no longer denied.

Think back in your life, has giving and receiving created negative emotions that have followed you down your path in life? How often was that? Can you discern the reasons? Each person is unique and different. They have their own reasons for the way they give and receive, which is based upon their perception. A person's perception is just that - only their perception. It is based on their innate abilities and experiences (e.g., family, society, culture, environment, etc.). Since you are unique only you can discern your reasons of giving and receiving and why they may not be producing the positive results you want. Think about the reasons why you give and receive. Look for the primary reason or common denominator. Ask yourself this question, "In most cases why do I give and receive?" Finding your primary reason for giving and receiving is the first step to help you determine if there is a hidden underlying negative cause that could be contributing to the negative results that you are getting. Here are some hints, but remember only you know the real answer.

Do you give or receive because:
- you feel you have to or because it's "expected"?
- you'll feel guilty if you don't?
- it makes you feel important?
- you want something in return emotionally or monetarily?
- you want to show people you are abundant or want to "look good"?
- you want or need to fit in?
- you want or need to feel good?
- you perceive a need or want to be filled for you or another person?

All of the above reasons mask a hidden negativity. They tie you in to attachment to social parameters, negative emotions, ego, emotional need, material possessions or control issues, which contribute to separating you from your true spiritual self. They separate you from the true joy of giving and receiving. They limit you. Each of these reasons takes away the real spirit of giving and receiving. It stops the balance, which is required to attain true positive results from giving and receiving.

After discovering your primary reason the next step is to delve further into that reason to discover why you feel this way and whether it is really appropriate for you. If you are not getting the desired results that you want it probably is not. If it is not, try and initiate some positive changes in your life to eliminate your negative aspects of giving and receiving.

Do you give or receive too much?

Do you only give or receive when it is a holiday or birthday? Do you limit your giving and receiving?

Do you only give when you feel pressured? Do you come from your heart when you give?

Do you set up expectations of outcomes when you give or receive? Do you set up significance on what you give or receive? Do you set up attitudes or judgment when you give or receive? Are you giving or receiving for the need and desires of the other person? Do you expect something back in return for what you give?

Giving and receiving requires at least two or more people. So to give and receive in a positive way, one must try and discern the other person's perception or ask them their needs and desires. If you only come from your perception, disregarding the perception of the person you are giving (or receiving) from, this becomes a control issue or it may be a way to satisfy your own ego for self-gratification. The "good" that you feel and want them to feel never extends to the other person. You are truly not giving or receiving at all you are only giving and receiving to yourself. There is no balance. It is a one-sided scenario that can not work.

Giving and receiving should be balanced. If you give too much or receive too much there is not balance. It creates a karmic debt for the other person, who will usually not respond in the way that you want, because they subconsciously will turn away from the karmic debt.

All in all, if you feel unfulfilled and are not getting positive results from your giving and receiving explore why you are not. Then use your newly discovered truths to attain the positive energy of giving and receiving in balance. It will contribute to attracting more positive energetic situations in your life and keep the positive energy flowing on the planet. Now how great is that!
