Who is Daniel ' Hawk' Moon...

Daniel “Hawk” Moon MA, MBA, PhD is an International, Motivational, Inspirational, and Success Master Trainer with over 40 years of experience in moving people forward through their problems to reach their goals. He has helped tens of thousands of people through his company Thunder Development in reaching their next level of Success.

Hawk hosts the award winning radio show 'Thunderhawk Live', is a published author and has owned and operated many successful business including Thunder Development. His passion has been and will always be, helping people to live a full and empowered life.

For those of you that think Hawk is talking from a blessed life without pain or tragedy you would be wrong. “Hawk” Moon started his life out as a part Native American child being raised by his Grandparents in the worst parts of Los Angeles, California. Living with different family members for many years he had to fight his way to and from school on most days. Being homeless at times and eating out of trash cans gave him a deep understanding of how bad things could get for people. At age 17 he enlisted in the United States Navy where he spent the next three years traveling in and out of Vietnam. Hawk also buried his oldest son when the son was only 18. He started understanding that a good foundation, a good set of personal tools and a removal of limitations and blockages can set you free from the pain and fear that tries to take hold of you.

Using the tools that Hawk has developed over the years has allowed him to be happily married for over 25 years, have a beautiful daughter and three successful businesses. Hawk has designed his camps to give you the same freedom, happiness, success and strength he enjoys in his own life.

Take Yourself Out of Harm's Way

Imagine for a moment you're driving home from work, and that you've just come from having a pretty rough day. As you drive along, your eyes see the road before you, but your mind is in the past. It's very busy re-running all of the day's unpleasant events.

Over and over again, you feel that painful stab of some thoughtless remark someone cruelly blurted out, or the embarrassment of that stupid comment you made without thinking. And with each mental replay of this unpleasant scene, you go deeper and deeper into thought, desperately trying to find a way to escape what seems an intolerable situation.

But what you don't see happening to you is that the more you think, the more you sink! Exactly the opposite of what you think you're accomplishing. And the deeper you sink in thought, the less you're able to see what the rest of you is doing.

Driving recklessly, speeding, missing the exit you want -- these, and other equally dangerous stunts, are only a few of the foolish things that happen to you while driving under the influence of a stream of self-compromising, self-wrecking thoughts.

Your life, in moments such as these, is actually out of your hands. It belongs to your thinking, to an undeveloped nature that doesn't understand what it's doing to itself, or to you, as it struggles to find a way out from under the weight of its own unconscious actions.

To free ourselves from this imposter nature -- a self of sorts created by our own whirling thoughts and feelings and their imposed reality -- we are called to see that its world is not the same as ours. This discovery begins with the conscious action of deliberately stepping back from our thoughts. We become an observer of ourselves, watchful of both the content -- and the intent -- of everything arising from our own mind and heart.

How do you start stepping back from your thoughts? Right where you are. Begin this very moment. Become aware, right now, without thinking about it, that you are thinking. See that there are thoughts and feelings coursing through you. As you watch their movements, be their silent witness. Just observe.

To observe yourself, assume no position on the thoughts and feelings you see moving through you. Don't put yourself on either side of any thought's content. In other words, be neither for nor against any thought with any other thought. And should you get temporarily caught in the web of any thinking, then watch that event with the impartial intent and simply start over. Just let your awareness of these thoughts and feelings be there.

The foundation of self-observation is a higher self-awareness that puts you in direct contact with a new and superior Intelligence, a silent wisdom that immediately goes to work in your favor, knowing exactly what to do with all that passes before it. It can see the mindless, self-serving antics of your lower nature coming from a thousand miles away -- which is the same as taking you out of harm's way.

Recipe of the Month

Cabbage MacSoup

Cooking Time: 3 1/2 - 4 hours, 1-Soup Pot

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 lbs flank steak (cut in 1"cubes)
8 1/2 cups cold water
1 tablespoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 1/2 cups chopped tomatoes
1 large onion (minced)
1 bay leaf
1 clove of garlic (minced)
1 medium head green cabbage
1 tablespoon lemon juice or apple cider vinegar

In a large soup pot add oil and heat.
Add flank steak and brown on all sides.
Add water, salt, pepper, tomatoes, garlic and spices.
Bring to a fast boil.
Turn down heat, cover and simmer for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
Coarsely shred cabbage.
Add shredded cabbage, lemon juice or vinegar.
Gently simmer for an additional 1 1/2 hours.

SOUP HINT: If a soup is too salty, add a slice of raw potato and let soup boil for twenty minutes, then remove the potato slice.

June: A Positively Fun Time for Graduations, Weddings & Summer

What a busy month June is! It's the time of year that there are lots of events: wedding, graduation, sending kids of to camp, getting ready for a summer vacation, etc. This is the best time to stay positive so you can remain as stress-free as possible to enjoy all the occasions. Taking one minute stress buster meditations throughout your day can help. Look at a clock. State your intention, "I'm going to be stress free in exactly one minute." Close your eyes and let your thoughts pass through your mind as you breathe deeply in through the nose and out with the mouth. You'll be surprised but exactly in one minute you will open your eyes and you WILL be calmer. It also helps to be stress free if you follow good eating habits, do some sort of daily exercise, get enough sleep and try to laugh as often as possible. These all help your stress level.

Another thing that helps is to try and stay as positive as you can and look for help if you having a problem. You really are not in this world alone and people enjoy helping one another as long as you are NOT taking advantage of them. the Positive Radio Network can help you this month too.
