Taking Your Part
in Perfect Intelligence
By Guy Finley
Radio Host:"Guy
Finley Live "

Part of what we have not been able to remember and
use in our spiritual work is the fact that everyone around us is
just like us. All the people in our lives -- even people walking
by us on the street -- are seen by us (in our present way of experiencing
life) as being disparate, something different to condemn or condone,
to embrace or push away based on what we perceive in them. What
we don't understand is that we can't meet someone with a quality
in them that we don't share in some measure because we've known
the experience ourselves.
Compassion starts with this understanding that every human being
on the planet looks different from us because physically we are
different, but inwardly we all live in the same pool. We all have
pain and pleasure, we all share emotions that wave through that
pool. He is not different than I am
he may be over on the
west bank, so the waves that he knows are different than the waves
I know on the east bank. But if I get close enough (which I can
because inwardly we share the pool), I can see that I've got west
bank waves in me as well.
Have you ever looked at someone and thought, "How could that
person be like that?" and then by the grace of God discovered
that you had done the same thing before, only called it something
different? This is a beautiful realization because it proves to
us that it is intended for those of us who would have a higher life
to use everyone's life for our own development. We tend to think
we're alone, and we try to figure out how to get everything worked
out and resolved based on our own content. We never get it done!
We have all of these various energies, primordial forces really,
and we're cut off from them because there is a part of us that separates
us through thinking, "I'm different than you are
can't
you see that?" Or, we look at someone and we say, "I want
to be like you." All of this isolation takes place and we don't
realize that we could work differently with people than we do. We
meet people from this position of being impenetrable (which is always
fearful), not wanting to taste what they are going through because
it's something else we think we have to "deal with." Whatever
we resist in another person, not only are we going to have to deal
with it, we're going to have to die to it in ourselves before we
can be free of the resistance we feel so that it can change our
experience.
Instead of walking through our days meeting people with this iron-sheeted,
closed-off nature that we presently act from, we can begin to let
down our guard. This doesn't mean to identify with negativity or
cruelty in other people. Rather, we can certainly see their negative
emotions, and because we have known hostility, fear, and hate in
ourselves, instead of punishing others for their state, we can begin
to help them do what they must do, which is to fall back on themselves
when we don't take part in their negativity the way we have always
done.
Did you know that whenever you resist someone's negative state,
you actually further engender and enable that person's negativity?
So, meet people differently! Learn to meet people with this quiet
inner request: "What can I learn about myself from you?"
Try it. You won't believe the difference it will make in what will
come up in you and what you can learn about yourself because of
what does come up.
As we participate in this completely different order of relationship
-- the root of it having to do with being aware of the other person
-- compassion is born. There is no compassion that exists in sleeping
human beings in unconscious relationship, except for the fallacious
compassion we express in order to make ourselves feel like we're
compassionate. Real compassion has to do with realizing that conscious
relationship is the root of our very existence, which by its existence
is trying to get us to wake up a little bit and enter into those
relationships which make it possible for our lives to become what
they're intended to be.

From
the Editor's Desk
The topic of "What I Did on My Summer Vacation" has invariably
changed for many people as they've scaled back on taking longer,
more expensive trips and begun seeking something fun and interesting
to do a bit closer to home. A nearby weekend camping trip or day
at the beach or exploring museums can be turned into something special,
especially when you see your adventure through new eyes and creativity.
Dig around a little to unearth what's available in your hometown
or nearby.
Finding a nice, quiet spot and diving into a good book is just
the thing for taking you on new travels and adventures. You may
find HealthyLife.Net show host and bestselling author Robert Moss's
newest offering, Dreamgates: Exploring the Worlds of Soul, Imagination,
and Life Beyond Death (New World Library) intriguing.
Spending time with anything that our own Lynn V. Andrews, host
of "Kindred Spirits" and bestselling author, has written
is worth considering. Rediscovering (or discovering for the first
time) global favorites like Medicine Woman and Jaguar Woman sends
someone into a different time and space.
If you're in or traveling nearby Woodstock, New York this summer,
what about an enlightening afternoon walk and talk led by author/herbalist
and Healthy Life.net show host Susun Weed. See www.susunweed.com
for more information.
Of course, you can always take an auditory vacation, any time,
just by tuning in to our radio station, here at HealthyLife.net.
With our great summer programming, you're traveling the world and
taking in new sights and sounds, and learning new things, from wherever
you may be. Listeners gather gourmet recipes and hear upbeat songs
from the likes of Jamaica, Canada, and Nashville, Tennessee on "The
Backstage Gourmet Radio Show." Then reach for the stars, the
"Guiding Stars" that is, with popular astrologist and
show host Kristin Fontana or find programs on just about
everything from natural health, psychology, inspiration to real
estate and even a car show to help with your car problems. Your
HealthyLife.net vacation break awaits you.
All you have to do is tune in.
See you next month.

HL- What sparked your interest in the holistic health field?
I was raised by a paternal grandmother who practiced natural
health and herbal medicine; it just seemed so natural to pursue
that specific field. My interest was also sparked because of chronic
migraine headaches that many times required hospitalization. I finally
began researching food additives and found that my headaches were
aspartame and MSG-induced, which led me to specialize in chemically-induced
immune system disorders. After my life-threatening accident in 1992,
I was more than ever determined to not only recover but to share
what worked and what didn't with all who would listen.
HL- Tell us about being a health journalist, investigative reporter,
and author of books? I began writing while recovering from a
serious accident and the plethora of side-effects from the drugs
that saved my life. My investigative reporting and blogging came
about from thousands of requests to gain access to my research and
clinical experiences for disorders that main stream medicine has
no clue how to deal with and only provides medications for symptom-care
that eventually becomes drug-management. To date I've written 1,000+
articles and 6 certificated courses for health professionals.
HL-How can we survive in this highly toxic world? The old
cliché "You are what you eat" is even more pointed
in today's environment. We each need to learn exactly what is contained
in our food and avoid anything that is not from nature but made
in a chemistry lab. I'm completing a book called Chemical Cuisine:
Do You REALLY Know What You're Eating?Available mid-summer it
is intended to plant the seed for consumers to take responsibility
for what they consume and are exposed to and it's the only way we
can each make a difference for a healthier tomorrow.
HL- What's the top environmental health challenge we face at
this time? Lack of education. Once you learn what are toxic
and the safe alternatives, you can live healthy in a toxic world.
Everything from cleaning products to pesticides, insecticides, petrochemical
products, and electromagnetic energy causing havoc with our bodies
and mind is our immediate challenge. I provide information on my
radio show and free monthly TeleConferences to do my part to educate
the consumer. I can only open the door, they must walk in.
HL- Where do you start to help improve the immune system?
Since we know scientifically that most of our immune system is based
in our gut...that's right...out gut, we must use natural, wholistic
rejuvenation protocols to reduce the body's overall toxic burden
by beginning with our colon. If our colon isn't healthy, wellness
cannot be established. Reducing the amount of chemicals in our food,
water, personal care and cleaning products is a huge first step.
HL-Do you have some tips for staying healthy while traveling? I
travel extensively-one week per month-teaching and lecturing worldwide.
I stay healthy by following specific protocols about what to take
before, during, and after a trip-especially while flying or in crowded
places. I a free PDF available on my website (gloriagilbere.com)
that outlines specifically what I use and recommend in my practice.
Again, it's education, education, education.
HL- Can you explain your educational offerings? Health professionals
of all modalities kept making comments like, "I wish I could
open your brain and absorb all that knowledge from research and
experience." So, I created the certification program for health
professionals to become accredited as a Wholistic Rejuvenist. The
courses include four modules and offer the courses both as a TeleSeminar
and in person, on-site around the world. My courses have now been
approved in some states for chiropractors, worldwide for naturopaths
through ANCB, for colon hydrotherapists by NBCHT, and massage therapists
in Florida.
HL- What can we expect on your future shows? Everything about
natural health-from healthy pregnancy to digestive disorders, aging
without looking or feeling old, how to create a non-toxic home-office-car,
healthy travel, how to avoid and reverse inflammatory conditions
(fibromyalgia, arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, gum disease, etc.,
raising healthy children, and natural detoxification protocols to
strengthening immune responses, protocols to eliminate allergic
responses from hay fever and food allergies, to life-threatening
anaphylactic reactions.
HL- What one key piece of advice can you give us? Don't buy
into symptom-care, learn to be a good health detective to uncover
underlying causes of your dis-order. Eat food in as close to nature
form as possible, read food labels (know everything you consume),
drink plenty of clean water, and don't attempt to doctor yourself-seek
guidance from a health professional who implements these principles
in their private and professional life, naturally.

Homemade
Fruit Ice Cream
Margie Reese
3 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
2 lbs bananas
1 ½ lbs fresh or frozen strawberries
3 cups orange juice
1/5 cup fresh lemon juice
¾ cup cashews
2 cups whipping cream or skin milk or almond milk or other
non-dairy milk
Blend all of the ingredients in a blender and add 2 cups
of whipping cream or skim milk (depending on the calories
you want), or almond milk, or any other milk substitute.
Put mixture into container of ice cream freezer (the old
fashioned kind) and continue as you would do homemade ice
cream.
Margie: "This recipe is over 30 years old. It was used
in one case for a motorcycle accident victim whose jaw was
wired shut. Not wanting to give him sugary foods like Seven-Up,
Jello, or puddings, his wife fed him this three times a
day. His recovery was remarkable and the doctors couldn't
figure out why he healed so quickly!"

Health Tip: Bone & Joint Health
Over 100 million Americans suffer from
arthritis, osteoporosis or sports injury to the bone and joints.
Supporting bone and joint health is the best defense against pain,
long term problems and injury and here's why!
There are nearly 100 rheumatic diseases
that may be diagnosed as arthritis, but true Arthritis comes in
two forms osteoarthritis and rheumatoid. Arthritis can cause joint
immobility, inflammation or enlargement of the joints, stiffness,
swelling, pain, and deformity. The cause of arthritis may be tied
to environmental factors, food allergies, fungal, viral or bacterial
infection, eating processed foods, and obesity.
Osteoporosis, although associated with menopause
is not a symptom of menopause. It can happen to men too! A progressive
disease, osteoporosis causes weakness in the bone structure which
brings a higher risk to getting bone fractures. Causes of osteoporosis
may be deficiency of dietary supplements of calcium, vitamin D,
boron, silicon, manganese, zinc, and copper; anorexia, poor diet,
excessive caffeine, long term use of corticosteroids, anticoagulant
or anti-seizure medications, lack of exercise, or kidney, liver,
thyroid and endocrine disease.
Sports injury can occur from any sport that
is played continually over a long period time or from an accident.
From tiddly winks to football repetitive motion can put a strain
on tendons, muscles, bones and joints.
By protecting your bone & joint health
you may be able to prevent, minimize or reduce healing time of bone
& joint problems. Normal bone health depends on heredity, nutritional,
lifestyle and hormonal, liver and kidney functional activity.
Here's some tips on how to maintain maximum bone health:
- Physical exercise usually increases bone growth; lack of exercise
leads to bone loss. Weight training exercises for 30-60minutes,
3-4 times a week is best. Try Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Yoga and walking.
- Foods to avoid or limit: sugar, caffeine, artificial colorings,
flavorings and preservatives, processed foods, processed meats and
fast foods. For arthritis also eliminate or limit intake of tomatoes,
potatoes, eggplant and mushrooms
- Limit red meat to 3 times a week
- Eat right with a high fiber, mostly vegetarian diet with lots
of green, leafy vegetables
- Reduce or eliminate alcohol because it promotes bone loss
- Try helpful herbs like boswellia, yucca, willow bark, devils claw,
ginger, tumeric, basil, dandelion, parsley, cumin, oat straw, stinging
nettle and black cohash.
- Use aromatherapy oils like rose, lavender, sage, eucalyptus, rosemary
and benzoin.
- Stop smoking; smokers have lower bone mass.
- Wear proper sport shoes and use proper equipment
- Try homeopathy for bones and joints.
- Use dietary supplements such as: A good multi-vitamin; Vitamin
K, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, fish oil, coenzyme Q10, selenium, phosphorus,
calcium, magnesium, vitamin D, boron, silicon, manganese, zinc,
copper, MSM, glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin and green foods like
spirulina, chlorella or blue green algae.
