Learn to Be a Storm Watcher

Before we can learn to free ourselves from our own fearful reactions to unwanted events, we must realize just how worthless fear actually is -- especially when we turn to it to protect us from what are essentially bad dreams wrought from the darkened works of our own imagination! When it comes to these stormy moments in life, what we resist always persists. In truth, it is our not wanting to be in a psychological storm that produces the very storm of unwanted feelings that we don't want!

One of the things that make uncertain times so hard to bear is the flood of fearful feelings that seems to travel with them, like hard rains we are sure will soon fall from a distant, dark cloud on the horizon. But such fear is neither a natural nor necessary part of uncertainty, and this you can prove to yourself if you're willing to be a conscious storm watcher.


What does it mean to be a storm watcher? Whenever conditions occur that look like they are front-runners of an inner storm, choose in that same moment to sit back and become quietly aware of your self. Watch how the newly formed, agitated thoughts and feelings within you want to drag you into dark imaginings in order to produce the storm clouds of some scary "maybe." Each time you can wake yourself up from this self-produced nightmare and pull the curtains closed on its performance, you will reclaim your natural confidence and calm.

We already know that the conditions that produce physical storms always pass naturally, and that when they are gone, so too is the storm they produced. Now it's time for us to learn that the same holds true for any of the psychological storms that shake us. Not only can we discover the secret of how to let any of these inner storms pass through us without fearing them, but also if we will do our part in waking up to, and letting go of, the unconscious conditions within us that create these storms, then we have learned the secret of how to end any storm before it begins!

HRN: Whhy and how did you get interested in the Marijuana Industry?
I was reading about this new marketplace and was intrigued about the business models. In my life time there has not been a "new" market so this fascinating to watch its emergence and to be involved at the beginning of the market.

HRN: Do you believe Marijuana's CBD can aid healing?.
Yes. CBD has healing properties, many of which are yet to be discovered, studied and documneted.

HRN: What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?
I did an entire show on this topic! However from a simplistic viewpoint hemp has NO psychotropic effects versus cannabis (marijuana) which does.

HRN: Which living person do you admire the most?
I admire Linda Mackenzie who not only founded this HealthyLife.,net Radio Network but has been a personal friend since 1984. I admire her creativity, focus, integrity and her ability to see how all the dots connect in a non-judgemental, positive and sometimes funny way.

HRN: How do you relax?
Reading, walking, movies and phsycal exercise

HRN: If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
Paris because it always seems to be so romantic.

HRN: What types of things do you cover on your radio show?
Emerging businesses in the Cannabis marketplace, regulations, laws and news. Interviews with"plant touching" businesses and also all the additional businesses that are growing out of the needs of this new industry like security companies, new investment vehicles (e.g. crowd-funding) and publicly traded stocks.

Natural Tips for Surgery: The Spirit

I believe that anything can be accomplished, for your greatest good, if you have absolute and total faith. So it is important to believe and have faith that things will turn out exactly right for you. There has never been a negative time in your life that hasn't turned into a positive for you. This is because negative experiences are growth lessons. Once you learn the lesson you never have to go through that experience in the exact same way again. This surgery may be a major change in your life, so welcome change as a friend. Look at this time as an opportunity to grow spiritually in a positive way. Here are some hints:

FOR THE SPIRIT:

  •  DO Remember to Develop your Spiritual Side
    - Develop a deep, abiding unshakeable faith
    - Feel, Trust and Know that things are all right in every moment
    - Remember that there are no mistakes only opportunities for growth
    - Balance your mind, body and spirit
    - Use gratitude for what you already have
    - Discover the wonder of all things in every moment
    - Forgive yourself and others every day
    - Replace negative emotions like doubt, fear, etc. with hope
    - Call on God's Divine Love to fill your soul and give you peace
  •  DO Remember to Use Spiritual Action
    - Start a daily spiritual practice of prayer or meditation
    - Draw some sacred artwork giving away your fears/concerns to God
    - Write all your negative emotions on white paper, then burn the paper releasing everything to God
    - Create a sacred meditation/prayer place. Put crystals, photographs and sacred objects in this place and then pray or meditate daily
    - Ask your relatives and friends on the other side to support you
    - Listen to spiritual or healing sound music
    - Call on your angels to help you
  •  DO Remember to Use Spiritual Protection
    - Protect & cleanse your aura (the electromagnetic field around your body)
    1. do a visualization of white light surrounding your entire body
    2. use an aromatherapy oil: cedar, carnation, eucalyptus, gardenia
    3. carry or wear a crystal: amethyst, aquamarine, jasper, lapis lazuli, quarts, pyrite
    4. Meditate saying the Mantra OHM
    5. Walk in nature
    6. Hug a tree (trees strengthen auras)
    7. Ask your Guardian Angel for assistance

    2. anoint your chakras with rose, lemon, sage, bergamot aromatherapy oils

Recipe of the Month

BChicken MacSoup

Cooking Time: 3-4 hours, 1-Soup Pot

1 3-4 lb. chicken, (cut into pieces)
8 cups cold water
1 medium onion (minced)
3-4 carrots (cut in 1" pieces)
2 stalks of celery (cut into 1" pieces)
3 medium potatoes (peeled and cut into 1" cubes)
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon sage
1/2 teaspoon rosemary
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/8 teaspoon coriander
2 bay leaves
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup basmati rice

In a large soup pot place chicken pieces, add water and bring to a rapid boil.
Add onions, carrots, celery, potatoes and spices. Stir and bring back to a boil. Reduce heat to slow simmer. Cook 3-4 hours.
With slotted spoon, take out bones and chicken pieces from the soup and place in a bowl. Remove any bones from the chicken pieces. Cut the chicken into bite-size pieces and return chicken meat to the pot. Throw out bones. The last 1/2 hour of cooking add peas and rice.

Option: Instead of rice, or in addition to rice, add 1/2 cup of quinoa pasta or quinoa or brown rice linguini broken into thirds to the soup mixture.

FOR CHICKEN BROTH: Omit rice and peas. Cook remaining ingredients 3-4 hours. Strain soup through a sieve and serve the broth or use the broth for cooking rice or in other recipes.

May - Flowers of Light

May is the month that spring flowers come into bloom. Beautiful and fragrant, they are a feast for the eyes and the nose. The actual beauty and energy of flowers uplift our spirit and can bring it joy, if we allow it to come in. We are so caught up in our day to day activities of trying to maintain that sometimes we forget that life is not just about that. So it's time to stop and smell the flowers. Try to capture a bit of their beauty into your soul. This can bring you joy and we all deserve joy.

While the beauty of the flowers enlighten your soul see if you can share that energy with someone. It doesn't have to be a lot - try smiling and see if someone doesn't smile back. Bet most of the time they will. Let's remember this May to spread joy and happiness where we can. Forgive other people and forgive yourself. After all we are human and no one on Earth is going to be perfect. We make mistakes as a part of life so we can learn from them. So if you make a mistake, or someone else does something to you, find the lesson, forgive yourself and them and find a way to get bacl to being positive, joyous and happy.
